Planning and Recall Ideas

Sarah shared this list of planning and recall ideas she pulled together from The First 30 Days book.  Here's what Sarah had to say:

"This list is by no means exhaustive.  I left some ideas out because of my kids not being able to follow a lot of verbal directions.  But it helps in a pinch."

You can download the list of ideas here.

Thanks Sarah!

Welcome!

Welcome to the new U-46 Early Learners Curriculum Blog!  I hope you are as excited as I am about this new resource!

I know that many of us are feeling overwhelmed as we try to implement High Scope and the COR with fidelity.  This blog is not meant to be one more thing on your to-do list.  Rather, the intention is to help make your lives easier!

Look up at the top of the page and you will see a tab called "Curriculum Question Box."  This is a place for you to submit questions, comments, or concerns to the curriculum committee.  Each month, when the committee meets, we will review your questions and try to come up with answers as best we can.  When in doubt, we will consult our administrators!

The next tab at the top of the page says, "Assessment."  This is where you can download all of those COR .pdfs that have been floating around.  Left your purple book at school, but you're working at home?  You can download it here!

If you look over to your right, you will see a way to subscribe to this blog via email if you'd like to get posts emailed to you rather than checking the site.  If you are tech-savvy and use a feed reader, you can subscribe to our blog that way too!

Over the next month, this blog will include ideas from the curriculum committee on ways to implement High Scope and the COR.  We'd also love to hear from YOU!  Do you have a quick tip that's making data collection so much easier?  Have a favorite way to plan?  We want to hear about it!  Please email Erin or Stephanie with your ideas, and we will get them up on the blog to share with everyone.  If you have photos (without kids faces please) or documents that you can share, please do!

Again, I really hope that this site will be a valuable tool for our program.  Please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions!

Erin
